refashion a skirt into a maternity skirt

there is so much stuff i love on the super talented chris's blog "pink picket fence" i can hardly stand it. i thought this tutorial on turning a thrift store skirt into a maternity skirt would come in handy. i could have used this when i was preggers with mack. i could never find skirts that fit me right.

my belly just never fit right or the skirt made a weird line across my belly while i was sitting and i sat a lot at my job at the time. i always felt like i had three giant boobs instead of two...that's how big my boobs were. you can find the link for the refashion here.

while you are over at the pink picket fence do check out her pink tulle skirt - oh my gosh! how friggin sweet is that! i adore it. dana from "made" whipped one out, (how talented is this girl?!) in a bright, summery orange as well. i gotta get some serious skirt/dress making happening. my fingers are just dying to sew. i figure i need about 15 more hours in my day to keep up.

any of you planning on making one of these?
