Get your yarn and needles ready knitters! It's almost time for our annual Summer Sweater Knit Along 2016!!! I'm so excited! This is my favourite knit along of the year and our biggest! It's always a fun, friendly KAL filled with encouraging knitters and lots of new skills being learned and shared.
If you've ever been scared to knit a garment now's the time to conquer your fears and give it a shot! Our Summer Sweater Knit Along encourages knitters to keep on knitting garments throughout the summer months so they can sport their new handmade lovelies just in time for fall/winter!

How do I sign up?
Sign up on our Summer Sweater Knit Along Home Page! You will always be able to sign up for the KAL, find all the SSKAL info, posts, Ravelry Bundle with pattern inspiration, IG feed, and more on that page next week!

Never made a garment before? Looking to try a new technique? Don't worry! Our knit alongs are suitable for any level of knitter and we're here to cheer you on and help you through the process!
We've got a lively, friendly and supportive Ravelry Group that's filled with moderators and members always willing and able to help answer questions and give support! We're lots of fun and the group is a fun loving chatty bunch! Think of it as sitting alongside some great gals each week cheering you on every step of the way!
What am I allowed to make?
For the SSKAL you can make any sweater, cardigan, or pullover you'd like. It can also be a child or man's sweater. It just must have elbow length sleeves or longer. You can also jump in with a WIP that you've been dying to finish!
We also don't mind if you double up on KAL projects - we're easy going and just want you to have fun knitting!

What happens at the end of the KAL?
The end of the KAL is one of the most fun parts of the KAL! We showcase some of your awesome finished projects in our "Starring You Post" and then I host a giant giveaway filled with super fab prizes from all of our SSKAL Sponsors! All you have to do to join in and be eligible is fill out the sign up form that will be live next week and have at least knit on your project during our KAL.
