It's been pretty quiet around here on the blog the last few weeks. I've been busy trying to survive spring break the last 16+ days while still working with the kiddos home. It was fun to have them here but also very hard to juggle/balance all the mom duties with full time work as well. But we made it, I survived, and after I dropped them off this morning I sat and I listened to the quiet and actually missed the chaos......for about a minute...lol.Read More
It's storming and raining buckets here again but the tree is up and decorated and I'm snuggled up inside knitting on my 3rd Landslide Hat & Mitt Set! Would you like to join me? Pour some coffee, cozy up and pop on by our Ravelry Group to join in with our Landslide Mini-Knit Along!Read More
I love color! Color can be such a fun & exciting way to show off & add your personality to your knitting! Pairing colors is such an adventure and I figured who better than to teach us for Summer Sweater Knit Along 2015 about color combinations, stripes & more than the lovely Julie Asselin herself! I swear when I think of Julie I see color! She's a bright, loving and energetic soul and I adore her!Read More
One of the questions we get asked a lot by knitters is how do you knit from and read a chart. Knitting from charts can seem overwhelming at times but I promise it's a way that some knitters find faster and easier to work from. And when you are working with lace and cables for that special Summer Sweater Knit Along project a chart can be super helpful and necessary.
To help answer this question we have the awesome gals from Pom Pom Quarterly here today to share a fun tutorial on How to Read a Chart - The Basics! Pom Pom editor Lydia Gluck has even done up a fun FREE downloadable tutorial in their signature Pom Pom style! I love it!Read More
I'm so excited to have Alexa Ludeman from Tin Can Knits here today as our first guest post for the Summer Sweater Knit Along 2015! When it comes to sweater knitting Alexa and Emily are pros! So I thought who better to do a post on how to knit a sweater than Tin Can Knits themselves!Read More
When it comes to knitters we love our notions, tools and accessories! One of my favourite places to indulge in new pretties is from Fringe Supply Co. - one of our Summer Sweater Knit Along sponsors this year!
I will openly admit I have a weakness for notebooks, journals and project bags. I can't get enough! Pair those with some fab stitch markers & holders, great scissors, and a new print for my office and you've got one happy knitter over here! The one place I love to indulge and treat myself is at Fringe Supply Co.Read More

My favorite part of our knit alongs is the wonderful and amazing community of knitters who join in each year!
What makes knit alongs so fun? Community and frienships (both new & old). One thing I notice and treasure so much is the loving and kind group of knitters in our Ravelry group. You guys are always busily chatting away (I can hardly keep up..lol) and sharing, inspiring, helping, teaching and just enjoying knitting with each other virtually.
Ravelry is fun to use but can sometimes seem intimidating if you've never used it. Here's some tips below to get the most out of our knit along thread!Read More

So mark your calendars and get ready for our 2015 Tops, Tanks & Tees Knit Along!
May 13th - June 3rd
The knit along will run tentatively from May 13th until June 3rd but there's always a possibility for an extension.

In the meantime don't fret - there's already a pre-TTTKAL thread going in our Ravelry group HERE so jump in on the fun!
Do you already have a project picked out? Will you be joining in for the TTTKAL?
PS. My back injury that I posted about last week is unfortunately worse than we originally thought. It's going to be a longer recovery time and right now I'm supposed to sit as little as possible. This is making it really hard for me to be on the computer right now so it's going to be quiet on the blog front until next week. But I'm hoping to be back soon! I miss you guys!
